Hope you enjoy the pics. Now you all have to send me some ;)

Hey there family,
Well sounds like a crazy week. I´m really glad Grandma´s alright. Send her my love and let her know that I´m praying for her. And that story about Cassidy is also super crazy. Things here aren´t quite that crazy. Sounds like it´s fun moving around rooms. Oh and a little birdie told me that my room is now the bunnies room. Nice. :) Well I hope they are comfortable in there jaja. And I´m pretty sure Amaya understands completely, so no worries. Sounds like with all of that stuff going on you all have a pretty full plate. Oh and dad, I do know Hermana Brimhall. I didn´t know that you had a connection to her. What is her aunt´s name? Is she that one that works in your department? I think I´ll be seeing her this friday, so I´ll have to say something. Oh and Ammon, I got the music from the school. That´s where I always got my music. So if you can get into the school and Mr. Bills is there you can get the music from Parade in the choir room. You know where all the musical theater stuff is right? Well the book from Parade is there. And then you could copy it or something. I can´t believe that AJ only has 10 months left. That´s insane!

So this week has been pretty good. Nothing too crazy has happened. The best thing is that we set three fechas (baptismal dates). So hopefully this next month we will have at least 3 baptisms! It would be a fantastic way to end off my time here in Valdepeñas, that´s for sure. So it´s starting to get super hot here. But it´s all good, when we work we hardly feel it. We just realize how hot it is once we get home and realize how much we have been sweating :) But it´s lots of fun. So keep me posted on how things are going with Grandma. And try to take care of that radon/lung cancer problem, I think that would be a good thing :) Love you all a ton!

ps. That´s super awesome that Skyler did the choir. I knew he´d be in a choir one day ;)
pps Amaya´s email is changing and she would still like to get the forwards. For now I´ll just send them to her, but if you changed her email on the list, that would make life a little easier it will be amaya.bingham@myldsmail.net  Thanks a lot! And love you a ton!

Hola mi familia.
So this week has been a great, crazy week. As you know I´m training, and it looks like you already know my new comp, Elder Durfey. He´s a great kid. He´s from West Valley and is doing great. He speaks like no Spanish, but hey that´s okay. But it´s a little intimidating to know that if I don´t understand something someone is saying, no one will. But it´s all good because the Lord is helping me with the gift of tongues. We haven´t had any problems communicating yet, so it´s all good. But the amazing thing about Elder Durfey is that, although he has a hard time communicating himself, he is helping the area and helping me grow as a missionary too. He has a faith and a fire for the work that is inquenchable. His fire has set my faith on fire again and I know that we are going to see miracles here in Valdepeñas. So I´m pretty sure this will be my last transfer here, but I suppose you never really know until that last weekend of the transfer. But from what President has said to me, I´m pretty sure this is my last stand. So hopefully I can go out with a bang here in Valdepeñas. We are teaching a lot of incredibly prepared people. One story is about a guy named Juan Pablo. So I´ll start out with this. A few days before Elder Wright left we were in Mercadona, a super market, grabbing something we needed really quick. On the way in a guy said hello to us. I didn´t think too much of it, but it did catch my attention. Later that same guy came up to us to ask about some type of salad dressing. So we answered his question and he went on his way. Kinda weird, but now big deal. The next Sunday, that guy walked through the doors of the capilla with a member. Later that week we taught him the first lesson and it went really really well. But one thing he said kinda shook me. He told us that that day in Mercadona he really wanted us to talk to him. He was hoping that by asking us something that we would start up a conversation. He said that he had seen us before and that he realized that we had something different. But we didn´t try to talk to him, we just brushed off the experience as normal. But we got into contact with him. The Lord knows how to do his work, even when his servants loose sight for a moment. But from that moment on I knew I wouldn´t let it happen again. This last Saturday we had another crazy experience. We contacted a guy in the street on our way to an activity in the church. The guy was from Paraguay and his name is Agustin. He said he didn´t have much time, but we got his number and stuff. About 30 minutes later in the activity, who walks in with a member? Agustin. He was just as surprised as we were, but it was a little confirmation that I was doing the right thing again. The Lord know his servants. Their weaknesses, their flaws, and their strengths and he knows how to work perfectly with each one of them. I´m so grateful for that. The church is true! I love you all and hope things go great for you this week. Happy Father´s day dad! Thanks for your amazing example and all that you have done for me. You are one of the biggest reasons I am out here on the mission, so thank you for all you´ve done. Love you all, and keep up the good work.
Love,
Elder Charlie Flint
PS Don´t have time for pictures this week, but next week for sure!
PPS Ammon, I can´t believe you´re doing the Man of La Mancha! That´s super ironic. And the song you are trying out with is super amazing. I used it to try out for Spotlight players or something once. Good stuff. :)

Hola my family,
Spanglish, good stuff. It´s sounds like you all are doing great, including Skyler in the CCM. Oh and please keep forwarding me the emails, I love seeing how he´s doing. He writes me too, but it´s nice to see even more details. Sounds like you all had a fun week in "Santo Jorge" as dad puts it :) It´s supposed to be that hot here too, but we are having one of the coldest years in a long long time here in Spain. Menos mal, de verdad. But things are going great here. I had probably the craziest week of my life here last week. It´s my compy´s last week here in the mission and lots of crazy stuff happened. So you remember Martinus, the kid I baptized? Well he disappeared on Monday. He left to go collect scrap metal and didn´t come back. His mom was flipping out, especially becuase other people have been disappearing here in  Valdepeñas. His bike was found locked up outside the bus station too. So basically everyone was flipping out, including us. We spent every morning of the week talking to the police or calling people trying to find out where he was. Eventually he was found in Madrid and we took care of all the travel coming back, but it was pretty crazy. His mom was super duper worried, but now she´s just happy as can be. But other than that it´s been a pretty good week. Nothing too crazy or awesome happened but we got in a good amount of lessons and found 3 new investigators. We are really hoping to set a fecha with one couple this next week. Oh and here´s some news. So you know how I´m killing my comp, well I found out who´s coming with me. Well I sort of found out. I´m training! I´m really really excited. I´ve been dying to train and now I get my chance. So I don´t know who I´m going to train, but I am training for sure. There are a few from the States and a few from other countries so we sill see what happens. But I´m really excited. I´m nervous too. I´m going to have to take charge and step up in a few ways that I´ve kinda been able to chill a little bit, but I´m really really excited. I know that the Lord will guide me and help me know what to do. I´m really really grateful that the Lord knows what he is doing though, that´s for sure. But I´m really content. I´ll be here in Valdepeñas until July and then I think I´ll be peacin out. But we´ll see what the Lord needs me to do. I hope things are going well for you all and that no more baby bunnies die! Love you all a lot!
Love,
Elder Charlie Flint

PS Great story about Evan, super funny. And do you think you could hook me up with Rusty´s email, I´d like to see how he´s doing. Thanks :) Love you

The Other Elder Flint

Picture 1: Doing some great service in Martinus´ new house.
Picture 2: Un pavo real! (peacock, but literally translated means royal turkey :) )
Picture 3: This was set up for a parade for Corpus Cristi which is some kinda catholic thing. It was made with died wood chips and salt I believe.

Hello my wonderful family,
Wow, I can´t believe Skyler is headed out. I´ll email him here soon, but it sounds like he´s doing awesome. A man of many words :) It is weird to think about how much time we really did spend together before the mission. Even though I was all over the place with friends, school, drama, choir, church, and everything in between. But we really did spend a lot of time together, and good thing too, because I needed it. But he will be fine. He has a testimony and faith, and with that you can do the work. This week has been an interesting one. We started out the week not so great, we were getting about 2 lessons everyday and one future (someone in the street or at a door that gives us their info to pass by) and things were kind stinky, but then we had a fin de semana de milagros. One of our investigators (who is basically a member) took us to go visit some of his friends. We met with 3 families. Two were pretty good, just kind normal, interest wise. But one of the families was incredible. The are a family of 5, the father is Español and the mother is Colombiana. The father listened to the missionaries about 10 years ago and loves the values that we place on the family and unity within our homes. The mother has cousins that are members and wants to know more about what they believe. When we got there they invited us in and they called in all their kids to listen. I´d never seen anything like that before and neither had my comp (and he´s been here 2 whole years now). Usually it´s more like, go away kids, we´re going to talk about grown up stuff. But not this time. They all came in and we talked about the Restoration. They had lots of questions about specific beliefs and seemed to really enjoy the charla. The Father said something like, "how many times has this family got together to talk about God? I like this." Basically they are one of the biggest blessings I´ve seen so far on the mission. After a week of working hard, without seeing much success we ended up having a ton of miracles. It was an incredible week and makes me even more excited to go out and work. Well I hope things are going great for you all. I love you all a lot. And don´t miss me too much, okay, becuase you all are always here in my heart, and two years goes by a lot faster than you´d think :) Maybe a little too fast ;) Love you all and have a great week!
Con amor,
(The other) Elder Flint
