Hello family!!!!!!
Sounds like things are fun back home! Mom, I´m sure you´ll do fine with the interview. And if not, you´ll knock em dead next time (or knock em down, a little more mom appropriate :) ) High adventure sounded like an adventure...obviously that´s the way it´s supposed to be. The new bishop sounds like he´s a fun guy, I´m excited to meet him some day. Oh hey, by the way HAPPY FATHER´S DAY! I honestly didn´t even realize it. Here in Spain they celebrate it at a different time, so I´m completely lost to the American way. Crazy flirtatious, sounds like you had a good time cliff diving. Wasn´t that cold? Just wondering. I hope you don´t sell all my stuff in the garage sale. Well actually it doesn´t matter that much, I´ve learned to live out of a couple of suitcases, I could probably do that for a while longer. So dad, we definitely are trying to focus a lot on working with the members. It is the "better way" to do missionary work, as Pres. Hinckley said. Really success comes when members and missionaries get together to help the work of the Lord progress. When I get home I am excited to help the missionaries out in whatever way I can, even if they hardly ever (if ever) come to our sacrament meeting or our area. Missionary work is so important! I love it. This last little while we have been trying very hard to get the members working with us more. We are still working on it, but there is a lot of potential here.
This last week has been interesting. I have learned an important lesson. That is, no matter how hard you work, and really how well you work, nothing beats trusting in the Lord and following his guidance. This last week a lot of meetings failed us. We set up a lot, trying to be good, but I think, trusting a little to much in ourselves, and basically it all went down hill. I think the Lord wanted me to learn this. If you want to do the work and do it well, you have to involve HIM. I trusted to much in myself and too little in him, and that´s why things didn´t work out. Hopefully this next week we´ll be able to get things figured out a little better. I love you all, I miss you. I hope you all are doing well and that things are great this next week.
Love you!
Elder Charlie Flint
