Hola Familia!

MOOOOOOMMMMMMM! You´re awesome! Good work getting into the program! I knew you would the whole time. You´re just way to smart to not get in. Really though. And The Man of La Mancha sounds like fun. I would love to be in basically every one of those shows! I´ll have to look into that when I get back. And yeah Dad, bummer city for Spain! Haha. I think it´s funny because they were all really prideful about their team. They thought they would win for sure and then they lost. Super bad. And the US is rocking it! (My comp is obsessed and asks in every lesson what the scores were). The people here are a little bummed, but right now in Alicante they are doing these things called Hogueras. It´s basically just a bunch of parties. But they build these huge (like 20 ft tall) beautiful statues out of wood and then they burn them! And then they start again for the next year. Super different. It comes from the history of this part where they would take all of their old stuf from their houses out into the streets and burn it. It´s interesting. I want to try to see them burn one, but it isn´t until like midnight tomorrow, so not too likely. But you never know, we might get permission. It´s fun. So I´m telling Logan, that he´d better be afraid. Yeah I may not have a six pack yet, but it´s in the fridge. I´ve just gotta take it out :) Things are going pretty well here. Actually this week was really weird. My comp left on Monday to go do some residency stuff in Málaga and I was with another Elder for a couple of days. On Tuesday I started feeling pretty sick. Like flu type symptoms and stuff. But I´m hard headed and tried to continue working. I kept it up the whole afternoon and the next day continued feeling sick. I still did some service but then (this part is kind of gross, just a heads up) I started urinating blood. At that point I started freaking out. With our family history that could mean any number of things. So I called the mission nurse and she got me into the hospital. They told me it was a urinary infection, gave me the meds and sent me on my way. I´m doing better now, but just thought you all would be interested in knowing that. I don´t know why, just thought you would. That was basically my week. Good, but weird and scary at moments. But I learned some good lessons from it. First off, I learned that even in the midst of trials, we can still keep a good attitude. I learned that from my first day of being sick, not the second. I saw the difference in my own happines between the two. And it taught me a lot. Life is tough sometimes, but it becomes even tougher when we look at things negatively. We always have to try to find the positive in every situation. When we can do that, we really are living with the hope the Savior proportioned for every one of us. I am so grateful that there is hope. That there is hope in every situation. I know that there is. Thank you all for being so awesome! I miss you all and I love you. Have a fantastic week!
Con amor,
Elder Charlie Flint
